At its meeting in April, the Minnesota Housing Board approved an Operating Support Program for Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDOs) that serve a multi-county area in Greater Minnesota and are receiving, or will receive, CHDO set-aside funds from Minnesota Housing within 24 months of the award of CHDO operating support. The Board approved up to $460,000 for the program, with a maximum grant amount of $50,000. Funds will be awarded on a first-come, first-served pipeline basis. Applicants must document that they meet the requirements for CHDO designation, as specified in the HOME rules, and be certified as a CHDO by Minnesota Housing.
