Minnesota Housing provides technical assistance and information sessions to housing industry partners and professionals. Note that low registration will result in a session being canceled. To register for a session, click on the date for the training you wish to attend.

Affordable Advantage | Minnesota Housing is now offering Affordable Advantage, a loan product that helps serve low- and moderate-income borrowers. The product has flexible terms and is one of the few 100 percent LTV products available in the market. The product is based on Fannie Mae’s Affordable Advantage™, an initiative developed exclusively for Housing Finance Agencies. | This session is for lending partners who are familiar with the MMP program guidelines, and will cover program features of Affordable Advantage, including how to commit within the HDS SF Web Application. | Tuesday, September 7, 2010 |
Mortgage Loan Programs (MMP, CASA, HAF) | This session includes information on our first-mortgage and entry-cost assistance programs, including information on the delivery, review and purchase process by US Bank Home Mortgage - MRBP Division, the master servicer for our programs. | Managers, loan officers, processors, loan specialists, underwriters, closers, post-closers, shippers and final document staff who work with Minnesota Housing mortgage loan programs and have not yet been training under the MBS structure. | Tuesday, September 21, 2010 |
HOME HELP | This session will include information on our federally-funded, entry-cost assistance program including calculating borrower and property eligibility, defining loan documentation requirements processing, closing, and funding. | Mandatory for loan officers who will be originating HOME HELP. Attendance is strongly recommended for processors, loan specialists, underwriters, closers, post-closers, shippers and final document staff who work with the HOME HELP entry-cost assistance program. | Tuesday, September 21, 2010 |
HDS SF Web Application - General | This session will include basic and advanced features of working with the Minnesota Housing online loan system, commitments, purchase approvals, funding and reports. In person sessions at Minnesota Housing will also include an optional hands-on HDS SF Web Application computer lab directly following the session for participants who would like to work with the system and receive personalized tech support during the lunch break from 12:45 pm – 1:30 pm (lunch not provided). | All Minnesota Housing lending partners. | Tuesday, September 21, 2010 |
Fix-up Fund (Home Improvement Loans for Owner-Occupied Properties) | This session is recommended for lending partners that originate Fix-up Fund and Community Fix-up Fund loans for owner-occupied properties.
